The director of the children’s ministry for a local Jonesboro church approached me for help with developing a brand for their program.
The overall church had recently undergone a re-brand, and now they wanted to create a sub-brand in line with the primary brand that would bring the quality of the kids ministry presentation up to that same level.
I wanted to create something that would help them effectively communicate the values and personality of the kids ministry through a cohesive visual brand. Aesthetically, the client wanted to create something fun, energetic and with a “happy color scheme”.
This project was so fun because designing stuff for kids and people who love kids just can’t be beat. Bottom line, people are generally open to a lot more color when kids are involved, which in my book is always a plus.
I incorporated the 4 dots at the bottom of the logo design to represent the 4 sections of the program, broken down by age. The long-term functional intention is to be able to use each color dot to represent each age group to aid in future communications.
This project was a huge success and I can’t wait to see all the ways this brand will develop and be applied – and hopefully, I’ll see the car stickers driving around town very soon!
